随着国际化程度的日益加强，出国留学不再是“富裕家庭”的专利——越来越多的中国人将出国留学作为深造的首选。本期，《英语》版邀请了具有10年英语教学经验、现任环亚西文国际英语的专职外教TOM老师就申请签证过程中的常见问题及解答技巧给读者点拨。

　　常见问题一：背景问题

　　简洁、真实不做任何修饰

　　“How long will you study in UK？What will you do in USA？Have you got any scholarship？”初见签证官，不少申请者都会被问到有关留学背景的一般性问题，如你打算在美国做什么？你要在英国学习多长时间？你是否有奖学金等等。对此，TOM老师建议，如果你遇到这类问题时，那么回答策略的是尽量简洁、真实不做任何修饰，从而可以给签证官留下好印象。

　　常见问题二：专业问题

　　选用专业词汇来描述

　　当了解了背景后，签证官关心的就是申请者的专业问题。当被签证管问道“What do you want to study？ What is your major？”等问题时如何回答？TOM老师提议：申请者要选用大量的专业词汇来描述，并且描述得越详细越好。

　　常见问题三：未来规划

　　分层次回答

　　有过签证经历的申请者大概都会碰到这样的问题：“What's your future plan？”对于这样的问题，TOM老师建议面试者可以分层次回答这个问题。他举例说

　　Q: Give me three reasons that you will come back to china？

　　A：There are many reasons why I will come back. First of all, I have many opportunities to develop here in China, in fact my advisor here have invited me to join and assist them after I obtain my PhD. I believe I can obtain a position in a university in China. Second of all, I love my mother and father. I own them much and since I am their only son, the very lest I can do for them is to look after them when they are old. All of my friends and relatives are in China. Lastly I love China and would like to do something for China关于回国理由，面试者可分三个层次回答。首先谈到回国后有很大的发展空间；第二，要回国照顾父母。最后谈到要为国家作贡献。快报记者 戴明夷
